Kelly was born and raised in the high plains of Wyoming. After high school, he studied English and Philosophy at the University of Wyoming. At UW he was a collegiate athlete on the Men’s Rugby Team, and volunteered at the domestic violence legal clinic offering services to indigent clients. Later, while attending the University of Wyoming College of Law, Monaghan was selected to join the UW Criminal Justice Department as a Graduate Assistant, where he taught a course on Criminal Law & Procedure and mentored senior-level undergraduates. Ultimately, he earned his J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law, with honors.
Today, Kelly is an experienced trial attorney with an exceptional record of success. Monaghan’s experience on the inside as a former prosecutor, and his deep roots in criminal law, make him the lawyer you can trust with your future. When he’s not lawyering, Kelly enjoys live music, reading, traveling, and maintaining an active lifestyle. He loves to fly fish, backpack, and take trips to the Oregon coast to surf, all in the company of his fiancée, and his dog, Herschel.
